Dimitria's profile
Dimitria Papadopoulou is a licensed tourist guide of Greece and a doctor in the Sciences of Information and Communication. She finished the Department of the ancient Greek language and literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (B.Sc. degree) and received her Master’s Degree in Political Communication at the University of Paris-Est (France). She received her PhD degree in 2011 from the University of Paris- Est and Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences of Athens. In 2011, she completed her studies in the National Tourists’ Guide School of Thessaloniki. She has been accredited by the World Federation of Tourist Guides Associations (WFTGA) as National Trainer of tourist guides in 2014, an International Trainer in 2022 and a Lead International Trainer in 2025. She has been elected General Secretary of the Association of the Tourist Guides of Athens (2012-2014) and served as a member of its Executive Board (2014-2016).
She was appointed as an International Trainer to conduct a Training Course for the tourist guides of Bahrain in 2023 organized by the UNWTO and the WFTGA. She has also taught in the department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University of Athens, in the Department of Organisation Management, Marketing and Tourism at the International Hellenic University and in the School of Tourists’ Guides in Thessaloniki and Athens.
Today, she lives in Athens and she works as a tourist guide all around Greece. She’s guiding university groups, organizing corporate events and spiritual visits based on well-being. She conducts also virtual tours for people who cannot travel (nursing homes, prisoners, people with mobility issues).

Visit, at the same time, the sanctuary of god Aesculapius (Asklipios), the healing center of the antiquity, and discover the healing methods of the ancient times. You will have the chance to see the ruins of the sacred dormitory, the circular building Tholos, the stadium and the temples.
