How was the life of an Athenian citizen of the 5^th century BC? What was the population of Athens? What was the Athenian democracy? How did the Athenians vote? Where did they do their shopping? Where did Socrates die? Why? 

Here are only some of the questions that you will answer after your visit to the Ancient Agora, the philosophical, commercial and administrative center of the ancient city of Athens. You will be initiated in the political and social context that gave birth to a unique political system for the history of humanity, the democracy. We will have the chance to describe not only the institutions of the democracy but the factors that led to its creation. At the same time, we will explore the relationship between the Athenian and the modern democracy, with references in the modern political actuality of the country.

Be an Olympic athlete - Olympia

You will have the chance to feel as the ancient athletes, training themselves, preparing themselves for the games, giving the oath that they would compete honestly. You will feel the sound of the crowds in the ancient stadium. You will participate in an original foot-race held inside the ancient stadium, sharing the same experience as athletes 2800 years before. Moreover, you will see the spot where the flame of the Olympic Games, their symbol, is lit during the organization of the modern Olympic Games.  

DELPHI-In search of the future

Have you ever thought how it would be like if you knew your future? Is our future prescribed or not? Do we have a destiny or not? Is the human willing superior to god's willing? Do we make our own future? What are the modern ways of predicting the future?

The oracle of Delphi will give you the chance to contemplate and answer questions that concern our everyday life like the ones above. Visit Delphi, the sanctuary of god Apollo, in the foothills of Mount Parnassus, the most famous oracle of the ancient Greek world. Discover the altar, where the sacrifices were held, the temple of Apollo, where the oracle was located, the theater, where tragedies and comedies were performed, and the stadium for the athletic competitions known as Pythic Games. Moreover, visit the treasury of the Athenians and Castalia spring, where the purification of the pilgrims took place. Last, but not least, visit the famous Tholos, the circular building in the sanctuary of goddess Athena. Inside the museum, you will have the chance to see everything that was found in the archeological site, like the Sphinx, the pediments of the temple and the famous bronze statue of the charioteer.

EPIDAURUS

Visit the best-preserved theater of the ancient Greek world, famous for its acoustics, and still used for the festival of Epidaurus. Test the acoustics of the theater and watch an ancient tragedy. Visit, at the same time, the sanctuary of god Aesculapius (Asklipios), the healing center of the antiquity, and discover the healing methods of the ancient times. You will have the chance to see the ruins of the sacred dormitory, the circular building Tholos, the stadium and the temples. At the end of the visit, you will contemplate the relationship between body, mind and soul that defined the ancient Greek mentality.

METEORA

Discover a landscape of a unique natural beauty and deep spirituality. At the same time, you will have the chance to admire the exquisite frescos from the 16th AD, to see the cellar, the net, the barrel and the refectory of the monasteries dating back in the Middle Ages. 

NAFPLIO

The most beautiful city of Greece, Nafplio, the capital of the Greek state after its liberation from the 400 years of the ottoman occupation. Visit its vetinian castle dating back in the 17^th AD, the small stronghold in the island in the middle of the sea from the 15^th AD, walk around the pedestrian streets, admire the traditional architecture and the two mosques and eat fresh fish just by the sea.
